The useful details
Website &
booking terms.
These terms cover use of this website and explain how a photography booking is agreed. They were last updated 19 October 2026.
About Amberfield Studio
Amberfield Studio is the photography name used by Charlotte Capstaff. Charlotte photographs in Yorkshire and may travel elsewhere in the UK by arrangement. For enquiries, message Charlotte on WhatsApp or use the enquiry form.
Using this website
You may browse the site and use its enquiry form for lawful, personal purposes. Please provide accurate information, do not misuse the site or submit content that is unlawful, harmful or belongs to someone else without permission.
Website text, design and photographs are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may not copy, republish or commercially use them without the rights-holder's permission. A photograph displayed in the portfolio does not grant permission to reproduce it.
An enquiry is not a confirmed booking
Submitting an enquiry is a request to discuss a possible photography service. It does not reserve a date, create a contract or guarantee availability. A booking is made only when Charlotte has sent the specific service details and terms, both sides have accepted them in writing, and any stated booking requirements have been met.
Client accounts and date requests
You can create a free client account to request dates, update booking details and message Charlotte. A date request works like an enquiry: nothing is reserved until Charlotte marks it as confirmed in your account. A confirmed date is held for you on the basis described in the booking terms for that session. Please keep your sign-in details private and tell Charlotte if you think someone else has used your account. Changing or cancelling a booking through your account notifies Charlotte straight away; how a change or cancellation affects anything agreed or paid is governed by the booking terms for that session.
Price, payment and the service
Prices, what is included, any deposit or balance, travel charges, timing, image delivery, print options and applicable tax treatment will be stated in the proposal or booking terms for the particular session. A price shown on the website, if any, is not a substitute for those agreed details.
When Charlotte sends a quote through your account, you accept it by ticking to agree to these terms and the booking details shown. Deposits and balances can then be paid online through Stripe using the payment methods offered at checkout, through PayPal, or by bank transfer if agreed. Payment details are entered on the provider's own secure page and never reach this website. A payment is only confirmed once the provider tells us it has gone through, and you'll get an email receipt.
Prints and digital downloads
Your private gallery may let you buy full-resolution downloads (single photos or the whole gallery) and order prints. The price, size, paper and quantity are shown before you pay, and delivery is added at checkout. Prints are made to order from your chosen crop, so please check it carefully; Charlotte checks each order before it goes to the lab. If a print arrives damaged or faulty, contact Charlotte within 14 days with a photo and it will be replaced or refunded.
Downloads are made available as soon as payment is confirmed. By buying a download you ask for it to be supplied straight away and acknowledge that, once you can download it, you lose the 14-day right to cancel that digital content — this does not affect your rights if a file is faulty. Downloads are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use, including sharing with family and friends and printing for your own use; copyright stays with Charlotte. Please credit Amberfield Studio when sharing online where you can.
Any change to an agreed date, location or scope should be discussed with Charlotte and confirmed in writing. Availability, travel arrangements and any effect on the agreed price will depend on the particular booking.
Cancellation, rescheduling and consumer rights
Cancellation, rescheduling, deposits, refunds, weather arrangements and any applicable cooling-off or cancellation rights will be set out in the terms supplied for the specific booking. They may depend on how and when the service is arranged and whether products are personalised. Nothing on this page is intended to remove any rights you have under UK consumer law.
Photographs, permissions and use
The agreed booking documents will explain what photographs will be supplied, how they may be used, any licence or usage restrictions, delivery arrangements and any gallery availability period. Charlotte will not assume permission to use client photographs in a public portfolio from the fact that a session was booked; any portfolio permission must be requested and recorded separately.
Locations and other people
You are responsible for arranging access to a location and obtaining permissions that are your responsibility, such as venue or event access. Please let Charlotte know about practical requirements that may affect the session. For photographs involving children, the appropriate permissions and arrangements must be agreed before photography or sharing.
Website availability and liability
We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but it may be changed, interrupted or contain an error. Website information is general and does not itself form a photography proposal or booking agreement.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Any other limits relevant to a photography service must be set out fairly in the booking terms for that service.
Privacy
Use of personal information is explained in the privacy notice.
Questions and governing law
If you have a question about these terms or a booking, message Charlotte on WhatsApp or contact her through the enquiry form. These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
